Creating a Personal Portfolio (researching professional portfolios

The first portfolio I looked at was https://www.samuelcare.co.uk/, I really liked this portfolio as it was very straight forward and easy to navigate around, this is essential for a portfolio because it's very easy for potential clients to view work from this person. I also like how on the featured tab the featured examples of work take up a large majority of the screen, this makes all the examples of work the first thing you see when you go on the website. It also says what the example work is from, (adverts, features, music videos) which is also very helpful for potential clients.

I think the navbar at the top of the page is also a really good idea because it makes it very
easy to view the different kinds of work this person has done, I also like the fact that you can view his CV right on the web page.

The next portfolio I looked at was https://www.mikephillipseditor.com/. I like the bold fonts used on this one, it makes the title stand out more. All of this persons work is clearly laid out on the front page of the website. Although I like the bold text on this website I don't really like the colour scheme, it's very dark and it doesn't really stand out much, it's all grays and blacks which seem very bland and a bit tasteless.

Although I don't like the colour scheme it is very easy to navigate and it's very easy to see all of his examples of work, and it's also very easy view his CV and contact info.

The third portfolio I looked at was https://www.mattgraybsc.com/. I really liked the tile style lay out of this website, it's a bit different to the other portfolios I've looked at. all of the contact information is very easily accessible, he also has some awards he's won at the bottom of  the page which will look very good for potential clients. He also has very simple headings at the top of the page which separate all his different projects

One thing I don't really like about this portfolio is that the heading bar goes down the page as you scroll, this can seem weird sometimes because the words will clip through pictures etc. It's not a massive deal it can just look a bit unprofessional sometimes.
