Headshots

Edited head shot:                              Unedited headshot: This is the edited version of my head shot, although I haven't changed much, I used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of  some spot on my skin, I also used the clone stamp to iron out some imperfections on my skin. When editing a head shot you need to make sure you don't change things so much that it doesn't look like you anymore. Head shots are really important especially in the film and television industry, they could really help the casting director decide if you're fit for the role, this is also why it best to have a really good head shot because a really good and profession picture is going to get a lot more attention then a poorly taken one. Lighting is very important for a head shots, one with poor lighting won't show off a persons features fully. Also it's not good to have your body straight forward...

Evaluation of 5 minute short

I think a lot about the project worked well, for example the very start of the process  when we were conceptualising the  idea  we worked very well together sharing ideas and blending them all together so that every one liked the final idea . I also think everyone knew what  role they had  which made the whole process flow quite well .  Everyone in the group was also very invested into the idea of the film so that made it easier to get along and get on with the work.    Somethi ng that was good and bad was how quickly we filmed most of it, filming it  quickly allowed us to spend more time editing and picking music etc. But it felt like we rushed it a little bit  which I felt made it lose a bit of the passion behind it,  everyone  being in s uch  a rush  le d  to some frustration w hen we didn’t get a shot right on the first take.  When we film the ne x t  film  we should put less p...

Creating a Personal Portfolio (researching professional portfolios

Image
The first portfolio I looked at was https://www.samuelcare.co.uk/ , I really liked this portfolio as it was very straight forward and easy to navigate around, this is essential for a portfolio because it's very easy for potential clients to view work from this person. I also like how on the featured tab the featured examples of work take up a large majority of the screen, this makes all the examples of work the first thing you see when you go on the website. It also says what the example work is from, (adverts, features, music videos) which is also very helpful for potential clients. I think the navbar at the top of the page is also a really good idea because it makes it very easy to view the different kinds of work this person has done, I also like the fact that you can view his CV right on the web page. The next portfolio I looked at was https://www.mikephillipseditor.com/. I like the bold fonts used on this one, it makes the title stand out more. All of this persons work ...
