Cultural Policies and my business

Corona virus is going to massively affect cultural policy, it's incredibly difficult to do work at the moment, especially travel. Due to this it would be much harder to get funding for things. If funding is unavailable through this way there are alternatives, for example crowd funding.  I would assume the government announcements will be quite few and far between due to the fact that there isn't really anything happening at the moment. A big part of the my business is travelling to different places around the world, this is almost impossible at the moment due to the pandemic, this would force me to alter my business to be able to operate within the laws and guidelines. I will have to start producing more local documentaries that require little to no travel, this will mean productions costs will be much less but it will also mean there will be a lot less interest in my documentaries. This being said the rules around travel seem to always be changing and it's looking like tr...

Mission and vision statement

Vison statement INHOUSE will be a household and trustworthy name, that will travel around the world unravelling tightly kept secrets. Mission statement and values  My mission statement is to spread awareness to lesser know issues in the world and give them a platform to be noticed and talked about. Also to be completely un-biased on all of the issues I tackle, even if my beliefs are proved wrong.

Regulatory Frameworks and how they affect my business

Regulatory frameworks The main regulatory frameworks that apply to my business are Ofcom, BBFC, and ASA. ASA our documentaries will be advertised so we will also need to follow the ASA rules for them. Although the ASA doesn't directly apply to us because we won't be the ones actually editing the adverts.  We need to make sure the programs are appropriate for TV, this could be a little bit difficult considering the nature of them, we'd have to leave out maybe some of the more graphic details. as for BBFC we'd want as low of as a rating as possible to reach the biggest audience. But again this might be difficult considering the nature of the programs. Although This would only apply to our films if they where shown at a theatre as BBFC is the board that decides the ratings for films, it would be great to have this kind of importance and exposure but it would be quite difficult. If some of our programs are a bit graphic then they'd have to be aired after the watershed, ...

Business Plan feedback

The first bit of feedback I received was to hone my summary a bit more make it completely straight to the point, say what my agenda is and why this product is needed in society, this is very important in a summary because it's essential to be 100 percent clear about what motives you have and why you're doing something. Another piece of feedback I received was to do with my finance section. I need to find similar projects and find out how they're funded, this will show evidence that It could work for my project, for example, things like crowd funding. Also having endorsements from other well known businesses adds a lot of legitimacy to my brand and it make it more appealing to investors. It's all about making your business seem as legit and appealing as possible. But it all comes down to why people should invest in my company instead of someone else's. the feedback I received on my logo was brief but they said it "looks great" I have now made all appropriat...

Researching similar websites

Tin Can Island I really like the way their website is laid out, everything is very clear and easy to access, it’s very easy to na vigate around. Despite it looking nice, I think it looks a bit too generic,  the  colour  scheme and the layout, although it displays their  work  nicely,  I just don’t think it stands out from the cr owd and   it’s very difficult to stand out in a business so saturated as this one. There's nothing special going on it's all very simple, no auto playing videos, no interesting layouts. to improve they could have some kind of short loop looping in the back to make the website feel more interesting to look at, also it would be if a short loop played when you hovered over the icons of the projects they've made. Six point-horizon Their website is very slick and clean, I really like how this website look s, how one of their clips plays as the background for the website. It makes it stand out  and capture the attenti...
