There are many industries that make up the creative industry, for example: advertising, architecture, visual art, crafts, fashion and textiles, design, performing arts, music, photography, film and video, computer games, radio and TV, writing and publishing, heritage, software/electronic publishing, cultural education.
Almost 2 millions people in the UK are employed in the creative industry, which seems like a lot but as of January there are 27.71 million paid employees in the UK, so relatively it 's only a fraction. Also it's a fraction of the work force they contribute massively towards the economy , producing £111.7 billion in 2018.
Since 2011 the number of jobs in the creative industry has gone up 28.6% which is a massive improvement. Also the GVA (gross value added) has massively increased by 53.1%, 1 in 11 jobs are in the creative industry.
