Cultural Policies and my business

 Corona virus is going to massively affect cultural policy, it's incredibly difficult to do work at the moment, especially travel. Due to this it would be much harder to get funding for things. If funding is unavailable through this way there are alternatives, for example crowd funding.

 I would assume the government announcements will be quite few and far between due to the fact that there isn't really anything happening at the moment. A big part of the my business is travelling to different places around the world, this is almost impossible at the moment due to the pandemic, this would force me to alter my business to be able to operate within the laws and guidelines. I will have to start producing more local documentaries that require little to no travel, this will mean productions costs will be much less but it will also mean there will be a lot less interest in my documentaries. This being said the rules around travel seem to always be changing and it's looking like travelling to different countries might become a lot easier soon

Another massively important cultural policy to my business is different types of releases, location and talent. These are so important because I will be interviewing a lot of people throughout filming all of the documentaries and they will all have to fill a talent release, this will protect me from being sued by said people. This is especially important to be because of the amount of people that I will be talking to. The same thing goes for location releases, because I will be travelling a lot to a lot of different places, I will probably be having to get a lot of location releases signed (not for public places). This will also protect me from the people who own those places.

Also Brexit is going to be a massive issue for me and my business, it will make it a lot more difficult to travel, me and the entire team will have to get work visas to travel around, this would be some what of an additional hefty travel fee. The same with corona virus, this might force our business to because more locally based. Also distributing my product throughout Europe might be a bit of a challenge. The thing is because Brexit is such a new thing it's quite hard to predict how much it will actually effect my business.

 Tin Can Island I really like the way their website is laid out, everything is very clear and easy to access, it’s very easy to na vigate around. Unit 1/2 evaluation 1.7

When this course started I had a very different idea of what I wanted to do for work when I'm older, when I started I was set on making documentaries and factual programs, through my many experiences I've had on this course I have discovered that that's no longer the career path I want to go down. After working on a few creative projects I've discovered that I really enjoy writing. The first thing we did this year was produce a short 5 minute film as a class. After a lot of brainstorming we decided on a story of some bullies luring some kids into the forest to murder them. This was a really good learning experience because it taught me to fully listen to everyone else's idea and comprise to get an idea that everyone likes.
